Musical Goals
I am studying music at Carleton University after completing high school in 2026. My long-term interest is professional clarinet performance, with orchestral playing among the paths I want to explore.
Building My Musicianship
- Develop my clarinet technique and musical interpretation.
- Strengthen my understanding of music theory.
- Build confidence in rehearsal, performance, and communication.
- Learn from ensemble playing and collaboration with other musicians.
Exploring a Future in Music
My earlier research examined the education, skills, and experience needed to become a section clarinetist, using the NAC Orchestra as a career example. It remains a useful starting point as I learn more about professional music.
